Sorry for neglecting this blog again, but here is something worth waiting for. I want to post the progress of an image that I spent so long on, it actually took most of my day Saturday a few weeks ago. This all started with the movie Maleficent and it grew to what you have below. So I wanted to make a new pointer/cursor pack for my computer and I wanted to make a Maleficent theme. So the first image below is the concept of the pointer (which is black, purple, and green) lighting up pretty much preparing for the "working" stage. Pointer Concept I then had the idea of making it light up like above, turning until the pointer is almost pointing down, bursting into flame, and as the smoke cleared revealing Maleficent in her dragon form, well, the head at least. I looked at a stock image from the results of Google and found this . After looking at it for a while I decided to get to work and came up with this first attempt at the dragon head. First off I hope you like the new look of my blog. I decided that after a few years it was time for a makeover so hence the new design. Anyways, this week's image is a green and light blue one. I made it after being inspired by two different artworks I found. One of them was a stock sent to me by Heat Stroke and the other one was one that I found on an app for Mac which is called HD Wallpapers. I called it Web of Truth since it looks kind of like a web at the center right, and it was one of the only things that wasn't taken that had the name "web" in it. I started with the lines and manipulated them as much as I could then moved on to the background and added to it a lot to that. I made one layer of each and duplicated it adding an effect or two each time and if I liked it, I kept it. What, another image in less than a week of posting the other one?? I'm on a roll right?! Not really, I made this one a while ago when I was bored at work and discovered that the Venue 11 Pro Tablet that I was using had Paint.NET, so I decided to give it a try. It was hard to make something cool with the default effects that it has, but this turned out pretty good I think. It's a nice light blue image, but I hope that you enjoy it just as much as I enjoyed making it. I hope to be able to make at least an image a week to post here and on Facebook of course. Anyway enough rambling, here is the image. I hope you enjoyed it. I know it's pretty simple, but with the default effects and nothing else it's hard to make something complex. As you can see, I left my blog again, but not quite for a month this time. From the title you can tell that this is going to be a portal kind of picture and it sort of is. I decided instead of doing an abstract from scratch, to do a photo manipulation and this is the outcome. The photo is from my hometown called St. George, Utah so hence the title Portal Back Home. I did a lot of manipulation, the main one that didn't change too much of it is Radial Blur Delux and that's what gave it that portal look in the center. I then added dents and some colors to finish it up. That's all I've got for now, but pretty soon I'll post a bit more. I've actually got quite a few that I haven't posted so keep an eye out these next few days.

After leaving this blog to collect some dust, let me update it for you guys. =) So I finally took some time to make a new image and I was inspired by the movie Maleficent since the colors in this image are her colors of power. So I pretty much used 4 effects to make it and that's it, nothing too big or dramatic. Zoom Blur Delux, Radial Blur Delux, Dents, and Shattered Glass I believe. I'm pretty proud of the outcome and hope you guys enjoy it. Critique is always a plus for me so if you see something that I should improve, let me know. I think the purple may be a bit too bright so I may end up visiting this in the future.

It has been a long time since I've posted anything and I apologize. Who knows what you may be thinking with a title like that, but after seeing the picture and description, tell me what you think! I'd really like to see what people think of this image, especially since it came out as a surprise to be honest. What I really did was an experiment with this color scheme after looking up on Google, what colors go well with orange. I saw that blue went well, so I decided to try it out and this is what I got at the end. I think it looks kind of like the sun breaking through or energy starting to build, hence the title. But as I said at the beginning, I'm curious to see what you guys think! Feel free to leave comments below of critique and suggestions!
