 Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2021 has been treating everyone better than 2020 ended up being. If not, I'm sure peace will come soon to everyone, at least we hope. I decided to start this new year with a throwback to 2013. I made this shortly after coming back from Spain, but I don't think I ever posted this one. While I was in Spain, I went to the Canary Islands for about 4 months. While I was there, there were stunning views of the ocean and the island from some local beaches. I was fortunate to capture some of that beauty on my camera, as you can see below. When I got back home, it took a while to get into the groove of things since it took some adjustment to regular life in the USA. I made a few different images, and I decided to then revisit a tutorial I had done with Heatstroke a while ago to make a gem. I've been posting like crazy this month!!! I'm trying to get as many pictures done and posted before I leave in 6 days! Anyways, here are some of my more recent pictures that I made. The newest ones are at the top and the older ones are at the bottom! I call this one Mountain Horizon. I made the mountains by looking at some mountains from the Internet and drawing them on Paint.NET. I'm not sure if I'll add anything else to it since it looks pretty good as it is.  This next one I did with my sister and I call it Desert Jewel since I used a desert background for it! I used barbieq25's wonderful tutorial found here. This one is a Nebula I made. Heatstroke provided the tutorial which is found here. Very hard to make, yet amazing outcome!! This one is called The Rush II. I made one before this one, but I edited it slightly so that it looks like it does above! Lot's of dents, radial blur delux, and zoom blur delux used!!! I won 3rd place in the WOTW competit...

I've been busy making new art and I came across a tutoral on the Paint.NET forum and it looked awesome!!!! First before I show you the actual gem, I'll show you the picture that I started out with. This is the Sombrero Galaxy and I decided to go ahead and use this as my starting picture since the tutorial called for an outside image! I made the gold stuff that you see without the use of a picture, but from scratch. The glossiness of the Jewel I added as well. I call this picture, Jewel!! This was probably the hardest to make because you have to be paitent with the program, and save it. I also had to stop and look at the tutorial a lot! Then the background took a long time because I wanted it to look unique and not like everyone elses! I think that I succeeded!!! (Tutorial was provided by barbieq25 on the Paint.NET forum.)
