Element 8 of 8

Image
Element 8 of 8, Light, guides to truth, leads through the dark, and disperses shadow. Last one of the series guys. I was making this image and it took a few steps to get it to look how I wanted. I wanted a bright image, but not super bright where you couldn't see the details in it. I put a layer of black and did overlay which helped out a lot with that. I also flattened the image, and did a polar inversion on the whole thing to see what would happen and it changed the image a lot that I kept it. Something I haven't really done very often, but it works. I hope you all enjoyed this series as I did making it. Not sure when I'll post again on here, but hopefully soon. Thanks to all who kept up with me for the series and I hope to either get suggestions soon or some inspiration for what to do next. So far I have different kinds of rocks as inspiration and I'll see what comes from that. Have fun and enjoy the series of the 8 Elements!

Element 7 of 8

Element 7 of 8, Shadow, misunderstood, twists the truth, and evil, yet cunning and wise. It took a long time to create this image. Back when I was doing the Elemental Power of Fire I came out with a bit of this image and saved it for a different occasion. Well, that different occasion is now, so here we go. As you can see it has a lot of red and black for that evil sort of feel to it, and I added a bit of grey clouds in the front for a more misty sort of feel. I also have red "eyes" since when I was making this it had that sort of appearance of eye holes so I thought, why not. A bit of Polar Inversion and an effect called InsideOut and some Radial Blur Deluxe to add depth and texture. Last element next week guys! Please send me some suggestions of what you would like me to do next. I'm not good at coming up with ideas, but this has been fun and has sparked my creative juices for sure. Come back next week for the 8th and final element of this series. Hint: Helps

Element 7 Info

You were probably expecting Element 7 here right now, but it's no where to be found!! Don't worry I didn't loose it or anything, I'm just planning to post it at a better time for this element. I wanted to post it in it's own element if you catch my meaning. It will still be today, just a little later. Stay tuned to find out what it is and when it is.

Element 6 of 8

Element 6 of 8, Earth, wise and patient with the passage of time, provides for all, yet can also be hard and mysterious. First off, you may be confused at my choice of elements since I've done stone and earth. Aren't they the same thing? They very much can be, but for my purposes I think of them as different. While stone is hard and comes in many different colors and shapes, earth I feel is like the underground element, or soil and clay. I was going for a more underground sort of setting here, like the ground above the cavern was cracked and sunlight is flooding in. The "crystal" effect is more for the stalactites that are commonly found in a cave and some of the crystal formations that the earth makes. Same kind of effects as Stone, but with different colors and a darker/less colorful and less bright of an image. Hope you continue to enjoy these elements and I'll have one up for you guys next week. Six down, two more to go. I have to start thinking of what
