Julio PDN Pics

I have been inactive for a while, and I apologize for that. Here are some newer pieces. You can read the full stories for each one on their deviation page on my DA profile All are made with Apophysis 7x and heavily manipulated with Paint.Net. In some cases, they are multiple fractals combined in PDN. I am working on some 100% PDN works right now. I'm a bit rusty at it though... Enjoy!

We will miss you Julio! I have been working increasingly with Apophysis 7x, and this is my best attempt so far. It takes my computer for ever (about 5 hours) to render a single good quality fractal... The colors were heavily manipulated with Paint.Net.

This will be my last post for two years!! That's a long time, but I'm hoping that Heat Stroke will be good with posting on here. Anyway I'm going to be going to the Spain Madrid Mission! It's for my religion, but I wont get into that here. This I made a while ago, but decided to keep it off until now. The colors are black, grey, and white because those are the main colors that I'll be wearing when I'm out and about. Not my best, but oh well. I didn't really do too much with it, but it should be good enough. Haha. I've been posting like crazy this month!!! I'm trying to get as many pictures done and posted before I leave in 6 days! Anyways, here are some of my more recent pictures that I made. The newest ones are at the top and the older ones are at the bottom! I call this one Mountain Horizon. I made the mountains by looking at some mountains from the Internet and drawing them on Paint.NET. I'm not sure if I'll add anything else to it since it looks pretty good as it is.  This next one I did with my sister and I call it Desert Jewel since I used a desert background for it! I used barbieq25's wonderful tutorial found here. This one is a Nebula I made. Heatstroke provided the tutorial which is found here. Very hard to make, yet amazing outcome!! This one is called The Rush II. I made one before this one, but I edited it slightly so that it looks like it does above! Lot's of dents, radial blur delux, and zoom blur delux used!!! I won 3rd place in the WOTW competit

Well, I have a new picture: The clouds were made with brushes and stocks heavily modified. The nebula is 100% PDN. I really debated whether to add some planets, but I decided not to crowd it.

I have just added a new feature to this blog! It's an email subscription to this blog! Simply put your email into the appropriate box on the right (->) and you'll get email notifications as to what get's posted!

It's been a while since I've posted anything new on here, but I do have something for you today!! I've been working on a few pictures and have completed 4 new ones!! I will only show two of the four since the other two are in some competitions! This first one I made in celebration of Spring time!! I know to some of you it may not be spring time yet, but it is here! I just used a lot of dents and polar inversion to get it to look the way it does. This second one I just wanted to make something cool looking, but simple, and I think that I succeeded with that! I call it Smoke and Rings. I hope you enjoy these new art works and I'll try to get others out soon!

Wow, I haven't posted here for a long time, and I started this blog too!!! That's sad, but oh well, never fear, here is one of my newest space scapes!! I made it for the SAC (Space Art Competition), and I got 3rd place! Not too bad for doing this for the first time!!! I really enjoyed this competition and I think that I've learned a lot from it!! Everything in the picture was made on Paint.NET except for the bigger ship. Pretty cool, and no, I didn't make the award, haha. I hope to get better and get first place on the next competition! I hope you liked the picture that I made as much as I enjoyed making it!! Feel free to comment as usual!

Awesome artworks as always Julio! Here is something I am working on: The head was made in a program called: Sculptris, the stone texture was made in Paint.Net, and the moss was made in Photoshop (but I added it to the head in PDN). I still dont like the moss... I need to change something, and I still need to make a background. So this is still very much a WIP (work in progress), but I thought I would share it with you all.

Hey! This is one of my new pictures that I entered into a competition!! I got second place along with Heat Stroke, so I'm pretty happy about that!! I can't wait to see what the next competition will be on there!!! My goal is to get 1st place!!! Anyways, here's the picture. I tried to make this picture look like a tunnel that leads to Inner Light! It turned out pretty good in my opinion, but tell me what you think? I hope you like it!

My dad was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a while back, and he had surgery about a week and a half ago. I made this picture just for him!! The ribbon I traced from a picture that I got off of Google Search so this picture is 100% Paint.NET made!!! The background was made with a lot of other things and effects that I can't really name off of the top of my head. I hope you like this picture. Feel free to comment as always and I hope to get others on here soon!

I know, it's not Valentines Day anymore, but oh well. I didn't want to post this on here since I have a link on the Paint.NET forum to my blog and this was for a competition. I think that voting is over for it though so I'm going to go ahead and post my picture on here. It was for the WOTW #30 with the theme as Valentines Day! It's nothing in comparison to the other entries! There were some really amazing pictures in there!!! I hope you like it and that you had a great Valentines Day!!!

I finally got around to making some new pictures!!! All I will really say is that I was inspired by Google Search on the first 3, the next two are just random and a bit of color changing, and the last two are done from tutorials online!! Here they go! Galaxy Green Tutorial provided by Celestrial on the Paint.NET forum. I know, this was a huge update!!!! I've been busy this week making picture after picture after picture!!! I may have exhausted all of my ideas for now, haha. I hope you like this update!!!

This is just a picture that I randomly made just for the heck of it. I used pretty much the same exact things for the big bang, but I centered it and made it look like a sun. One thing that is interesting about this picture is that I used the same thing in every layer, but changed it up a little bit. Here it is, I hope that you like it and I also hope that I get better ideas soon! Well, after a long while of not making new pictures, I finally have one!!! My friend Mark wanted me to make what I thought The Big Bang looked like! I tried it out and sent it to Heat Stroke to get his approval and he said it was really good! I modified it again to have a few stars and then sent it to Mark and he really liked it too! I hope that you guys like it as much as my two friends did! Well here it is! Another new thing that you may have noticed is the header of this blog has been changed to a nice metal instead of the previous fire. I don't know which one you guys like better, but I personally like the new one. Feel free to leave comments as usual.

These are older pictures yet again. I haven't had any ideas for anything since the competitions on the Paint.NET forums haven't sparked anything new for me. Plus I don't really check it that often so here are some more older pictures for you to enjoy!  This first one was made probably sometime near November of 2009 so it's was made at the beginning stages of me getting used to the program. I was proud of this one for a while, but now, I don't really care for it. This other one was made for my mom for her birthday. I'm not really sure how I got the ring to look how it does, but oh well. I'm pretty sure that I used Radial Blur and Zoom Blur Deluxe, but that's about all. If anyone has any ideas for more art, or critique, don't hesitate to leave a comment.
