Thanksgiving Warmth

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I can say that even though winter is around the corner, and fall has nearly come and gone, it is one of those days that just feels warm. I love Thanksgiving, since it is a time to feel thankful for all that life has brought to our lives and it is a time for family and friends to gather and enjoy each other's company. For this reason, I made this image a warm and inviting one. I was trying to think of how to make another Thanksgiving image since it is hard to make an abstract image of a holiday. I went back to the image from last year and it helped me with the color pallet so that I had something to start with.


I then went for the smooth background that has become my style since last year and I have developed it into what it is now. When I finished, I realized I had the center of the piece on the same side as last year's so I  flipped it to make it different. Not much else to say now except to remind everyone to be thankful for the things you have. Even though tomorrow is Black Friday, doesn't mean you need more things. Enjoy what you have and have a wonderful rest of the year.

Here is something I am working on: The head was made in a program called: Sculptris, the stone texture was made in Paint.Net, and the moss was made in Photoshop (but I added it to the head in PDN). Left Behind

Wow, I haven't posted here for a long time, and I started this blog too!!! That's sad, but oh well, never fear, here is one of my newest space scapes!! I made it for the SAC (Space Art Competition), and I got 3rd place! Not too bad for doing this for the first time!!! I really enjoyed this competition and I think that I've learned a lot from it!! Everything in the picture was made on Paint.NET except for the bigger ship. Pretty cool, and no, I didn't make the award, haha. I hope to get better and get first place on the next competition! I hope you liked the picture that I made as much as I enjoyed making it!! Feel free to comment as usual!

Fractal

We will miss you Julio! I have been working increasingly with Apophysis 7x, and this is my best attempt so far. It takes my computer for ever (about 5 hours) to render a single good quality fractal... The colors were heavily manipulated with Paint.Net.
