Dying Heart

I was going for a Valentines Day theme with this image at the beginning, then I realized that it was similar to other images I've made. I decided to make the heart look a bit dead since Valentines Day can be a sad time of year too. Some people may not have a significant other to celebrate with or show their appreciation. Worst case senario, a couple breaks up on Valentines Day. I made this image depicting just that and I call it Dying Heart.


I created the background using the same effects as always, but a new effect is making a debut here called Glass Vignette. I also have Dents, Radial Blur and Polar Inversion in the mix. The heart I made by making half of the heart, duplicating the layer, then flipping it. I then erased imperfections and there you have it. Big Jet from Little Einsteins

Yet another image of a character from the show Little Einsteins. Thought this Thanksgiving week, that I would show my thankfulness by making these for my boys, who LOVE this show. After making Rocket, I thought, why not make the enemy of the show, who's name is Big Jet. I also made a coloring page of this, which can be found a while back on my Instagram page. Here is the finished image. Like Rocket, I started with an outline of Big Jet based on this picture , but was also going for making it more high def. I then filled in the color, and applied some of the shading after. For some reason this one wasn't as hard as Rocket, either because there are more straight lines, or because I knew more of what I was doing. Eye of the Beholder

Once again, this is a fractal manipulation that honestly I didn't see as an eye until the last second. I also didn't really know where else to go with this until I saw the eye, then I knew what to do. When I finished it, the title came to my head, and so here I give you Eye of the Beholder. Not much different from the last image, just a bit of Radial Blur for the background, then Polar Inversion for the swirls of the fractal, then I duplicated the Polar Inversion layer, flipped it around, then merged it down. I then duplicated that, then did another Polar Inversion, and blurred the middle with Gaussian Blur where the eye was, added a bit of blue for the iris, and blurred that as well. I then added a glassy look to it and called it good. Layer blend modes used are Overlay, Glow, Lighten, Additive, Color Dodge, Multiply, and Normal in the middle and bottom of the image. Happy After Valentines Day

I know, it's not Valentines Day anymore, but oh well. I didn't want to post this on here since I have a link on the Paint.NET forum to my blog and this was for a competition. I think that voting is over for it though so I'm going to go ahead and post my picture on here. It was for the WOTW #30 with the theme as Valentines Day! It's nothing in comparison to the other entries! There were some really amazing pictures in there!!! I hope you like it and that you had a great Valentines Day!!!
